Obesity is a pathology characterized by an excess of adipose tissue (AT) whose functions may be altered. Interestingly, strong evidence suggests that metabolic dysregulations linked to obesity is associated with an hyperactivation of the endocannabinoid system (ECS) in several organs including AT.
